ENTERTAINMENT OFFICER’S REPORT

Congratulations to Commodore Bob Davis and First Lady Anna on a successful ball the the Princess Royale Hotel in Ocean City.

A special thanks to Phyllis Murphy for the year-long effort in putting together this year’s event. It was my pleasure to assist Phyllis and work with Karen Anderson as this was definitely a team effort.

I would also like to thank everyone who attended the Ball and a BIG thank you to all the clubs that participated in the Friday night skits. We had 13 skits, all of which showcased a wide variety of yacht club talent.

The hospitality rooms this year proved very interesting as the clubs displayed what was unique and special about their clubs. The winners are:

SKITS

Best Skit - Red Eye Yacht Club

Most Original Skit - Baltimore Yacht Club

Best Dressed Individual in a Skit - Richard Murphy, Galloway Yacht Club

Best Dressed Couple in a Skit - Chip Miller and Ellen Richards, Eastern Yacht Club

Best Dressed Individual not in a Skit - Dottie Capp, Middle River Yacht Club

HOSPITALITY ROOMS

Best Hospitality Room - Galloway Yacht Club

First Runner Up - Eastern Yacht Club

Second Runner Up - Baltimore Yacht Club

Next year’s Ball is now taking shape and the information will be announced in next month’s Poopdeck.
